This piece is truly unique and one of a kind. It may represent the first piece
in a new direction that my art will take me. I have always tried to match curves in my blades
with the curves in the antler handles and in doing so have made knives that seem almost alive.
In this piece I have combined two knives in a way that reminds me of a whale and a calf or
maybe dolphins. The largest knife in this piece is around ten inches long and the obsidian for
both knives is a combination red and black with the blacks being both solid and transparent.
This piece comes on an oak base. I am curious what other people
think of this sculpture. Feel free to email with your thoughts.
This piece is fragile and the wires
supporting the knives will probably bend a little in shipping.
They will however bend back into shape.
